Delete your account
You can delete your account and everything the server keeps about it. There is no self-service button today: the operator does it by hand when you ask, and writes back when it is done.
How to ask
Write to soporte@arclightcraft.com
From the same email address you sign in with, and ask for your account to be deleted. That address is the check: it is what identifies the account.
Subject: "Delete my account"
Nothing else is needed. Never send your password: it is no use here and nobody will ever ask you for it.
An answer within 30 days
The operator deletes the account, its vaults, its devices and its messages, and confirms by email. It is normally days, not weeks.
What is deleted
- Your account: the email, the name and the hash of your authentication key.
- Every encrypted conversation and message the server held, and their encrypted titles.
- The authorised devices and their tokens, so the app and the browser stop getting in.
- Uploaded files, pending pairings, and access or link requests.
What is kept
- What is on your PC: Hermes keeps its conversations there and works on without the relay. If you want those gone too, they are yours and you delete them on your machine.
- The web server's access logs (time, method, path, status), which rotate themselves and contain the content of nothing.
- Any database backups that exist at the moment of deletion, until they expire on their normal cycle (30 days at most).
- Nothing else: no "deleted account" record and no list of deleted addresses is kept.
If you only want to empty the history
That you can do yourself, instantly, with no mail to anyone: on your PC, hermes remote purge deletes every conversation of the vault from the server and leaves the account standing. The app also deletes conversations one at a time.
